The
electrokinetic phenomena are induced by the relative motion between the fluid
and the solid surface. In a porous medium such as rocks, soils etc., the
electric current density that is linked to the ions within the fluid is coupled
to the fluid flow and that coupling is called electrokinetics [1].
Electrokinetics consists of different effects such as streaming potential,
seismoelectrics, electroosmosis etc. Electrokinetics plays an important role in
geophysical applications, environmental applications, medical applications and
other applications.
